Harris Grade

15 June 2009

Harris Grade is part of the back way / short cut between Santa Maria and Lompoc.  The road is so steep & curvy it is not heavily used.  It would be a good bike ride, except for the fact there are no shoulders on the road.  It can be dangerous for a biker.  It is a nice ride, but it would be a lot better if there were no cars.  I counted 23 that passed me on the way over, and 30 on the way back.  Up and over down and back is only 12 miles, but it is a tough 12 miles.....

I did not have the GPS Log camera when I took this ride, but I have added a Google route map to show the area.
