Gaviota peak is a tough climb. This was our first trip up. We kept thinking we were almost at the top; and then there would be another ridge behind what we thought was the top. You can hear the frustration in my voice on the videos. The other problem was we were not exactly sure where we were going. There were several forks in the trail with no signs. We were doing a loop, up one side to the peak, and down the other side back to the car. Until we actually got to the top we weren't sure we were headed the wrong way and would end up in Santa Barbara
