This was a hike to the actual point of Point Sal.  The point is a beautiful area.  I will go back when on a clear day to take better pictures.

The hike out was tough; but the hike down the shoreline back to the park access road was simply insane.  There is no way the pictures we took can convey how steep and dangerous the trail, or lack of trail, actually was.  In several places we had to climb the cliffs, and in many places the slope was so steep and sandy, we had to crawl up the slope using hands and feet.  A fall while climbing over large rocks, could have been painful.  A fall from the cliffs, could have been deadly.... 

The 1st photo (from an earlier clear day), shows the path we took.  The path down the ridge looks smooth, but there were a dozen placed where it was very steep up and down.  The path back along the coast was simply insane.
