The Santa Rosa Creek road out of Cambria is one tough ride. The complete loop goes from Cambria up Santa Rosa over to HW 46 and back to Cambria. It took me 3 tries; but I finally completed the entire loop.
The first attempt; I did not notice I lost a water bottle on a rough patch. When I ran out of water, I turned around. On the second attempt; I made it over the mountain to HW 46 where Dave picked me up since he had already returned to the car. On the third attempt; I completed the entire loop. The pictures below are from the 3rd attempt, with a couple from the first two to show the difference in color. The dates are:
