This was a ride suggested by a friend. I have been to San Luis Obispo (SLO) many times, but I never took this scenic route. It starts near Aliva beach and climbs up the See canyon and then follows the ridge line before it turns into Prefumo canyon and drops down into SLO.
It starts out with a road with plenty of shade and a gentle upgrade. At about 5 miles it turns deadly. There is a 2 mile grade that varies from 10-14%. Dave did that portion without stopping; not me..... The total loop back to Aliva beach is 22 miles. All in all, a great ride.

Update 24 Mar 2015 I did 12.5 miles of See Canyon today starting from the SLO side, to the top, over 1 mile and return. I took more pictures and added them to this album. You will easily see the difference between July and March. LOL
