The first picture is the overall route we took. The 1st trail was the Cone Peak trail. It starts just off Forest rd 22S05 and is just over 3 miles long. It starts at 3,800 feet and goes up to 4,800 feet and ends at the Trail Springs camp. The trail is well maintained . .

In places the Guard Rail is kinda missing..

Top of the trail, another 300 feet if you go to the look out

From the top it is all down hill to Trail Springs

You kinda walk leaning uphill

Minor obstacles on this trail had already been addressed

BTW- the hats may look goofy, but they keep the bugs off

at Trail Springs the Cone Peak trail ends at the Gamboa trail

Its a nice place to camp, or rest

I think this was the only obstacle on the trail (the downed tree)

The Ojito campsite was very small, but it did have water
