I have done the hike up to the Santa Ynez ridge line a couple of times before, but this was the first time with my daughter Amber It is only a little over 4 miles up; and 4 miles back. That doesn’t sound like much, but when you get your first good look at the Broadcast station that you are going to, you can see that it is not going to be a easy day.
We made it to the top, with no problems, except the two crazy people on mountain bikes that were coming down the trail. At the top we had lunch, climbed some rocks, and returned. All-in-all, a great hike.
Amber & I did not go all the way to the Communications site. I have added some pictures of the site from a previous hike.
