On my Bike rides over Figueroa Mountain I have spent a lot of time looking at Grass Mountain during my many rest breaks, but I had never climbed it. I heard it was a tough hike, but I never could have imagined how tough it actually was. The approach to the mountain is not that bad. The problem is the last mile there has no firm footing at all. Not good on the way up, dangerious on the way down. The official dsescription of the mountain is below:
