It must have been during a Senior Moment that I agreed to join the Santa Barbara 5 Peaks challenge. This challenge is a Peak Baggers thing. There are many trails that have been created over the years to go over mountains, but Peak Bagging is different. Rather than going around the side of a peak to get to where you are going, Peak Baggers actually go up the peak. Most of the Peaks are only ¼ to ½ mile off the normal trail, but since very few are crazy enough to want to climb the peak, there are no maintained paths. Most of the paths are actually gullies that rain has washed down from the top. 4 of the 5 I did were very steep, with crumbling sand and loose rocks for footing. The 5th was different; it was climbing / crawling over boulders the size of a large truck or a small house.

Below are the links to the 5 Peaks I completed before the 1 May deadline.
